Session A: "Getting Started with Guitar"

Session A will run six weeks starting September 24, 2008

Dates: September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Times: Wednesdays 8:30-9:30 PM

Location:  Room 4

Cost: $90

This course will provide you with everything you need to know to get a jump start on learning guitar. You will learn all the basic information about tuning, guitar terminology, and reading chord charts in a friendly, stress-free environment.

 

Session B: “Playing Songs”

 

Session B will run six weeks starting September 24, 2008

Dates:  September 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Times: Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 PM

Location:  Room 4

Cost: $90

Prerequisite: You have to have played the guitar for 6 months OR taken session A.

 

Material covered:

Now that we’ve learned the terminology of the guitar, how to read chord charts, how to read strumming patterns and rhythms, we’re going to put them to use!!  We’re going to focus on learning how to play songs!

 

Martin is available for private lessons for guitar and bass

 

Martin is a local professional musician specializing

 in performance and recording.  A parishioner

since 2006, Martin plays in the Gospel

choir, and leads the teen choir.
